It may still be hot outside, but that crisp autumn weather is right around the corner. If you’ve been waiting to schedule plastic surgery until your kids to head back to school or until the weather cools down, call today and schedule your treatments. Fall is on its way! Here are some of our favorite treatments for this time of the year.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
Summer fun and time in the sun can take a toll on your skin. If you have sun damage, come in for a laser treatment to repair and rebuild your damaged skin. Your skin will be very sensitive to sun exposure right after treatment and you’ll need to reduce sun exposure while you heal. Many of our patients find that this is easier during the fall/winter when they naturally spend more time indoors. Schedule your treatment this fall to eliminate brown spots, age spots, premature wrinkles, and dull skin.
If you start your laser treatment in the next few months, you’ll be able to enjoy your results before the busy holiday season. A little pre-planning and a laser skin rejuvenation treatment are all you need to stun at holiday parties this year.
Facelift
Take 8-10 years off your appearance with a facelift, also known as a rhytidectomy. This procedure removes excess skin and repositions sagging facial tissues in the lower portion of the face. Although this procedure can be performed successfully at any time of the year, there are some benefits to getting the surgery during the fall. The cooler temperatures can make recovery more comfortable and many patients find it is easier to stay out of the sun during the fall than it is during the summer.
If you come in for your consultation soon, you’ll be able to schedule your treatment for early fall. Most patients return to work within two weeks after surgery, but it can take longer before you’re looking your best after a facelift. Many of our patients try to schedule their treatments for the early fall so they are fully recovered, and picture ready, before the busy holiday season.
Eyelid Lift
Sagging eyelids are a common aesthetic complaint and blepharoplasty, also known as an eyelid lift, is the solution. This procedure is customized to your needs and can rejuvenate the upper eyelids and/or the lower eyelids. It can also be effective for removing puffy skin bags under the eyes. Fall is an excellent time for this rejuvenating treatment.
Reducing sun exposure is important after any plastic surgery procedure. Too much sun right after surgery can cause scars and skin to darken, sometimes permanently. For many of our patients, this means that fall is a prime time for surgery. We are now booking consultations and treatments for this fall. Call today!
